A credible IPTV subscription costs $12 to $20 a month, or roughly $55 to $90 for a full year. Ours is $15 monthly and $69 annually, which works out near $5.75 a month. Hardware, for most buyers, costs nothing at all. This article puts every figure in one place — subscription, hardware, the cost nobody mentions, and what a suspiciously cheap year actually buys you — and then works a first year through three different ways.
The short answer
Budget $15 a month or $69 a year for the subscription, $0 for hardware if you own anything made since about 2016, and $12 for an Ethernet adapter if the picture stutters. That is the entire cost. Anything charging you separately for 4K, activation, a film library or a box is charging for something that should be included.
How much is IPTV per month?
Between $12 and $20 from a seller with real support behind it. That band has been stable for several years and it is a genuinely useful reference point, because both ends of it tell you something.
Above $20 a month you are usually paying for marketing rather than for a better service. The channel line-ups at $18 and $30 are frequently identical, and the difference is the advertising budget that brought you to the page.
Below about $10 you are almost always looking at a reseller pricing under cost. This matters more than any other single fact in this article, so it gets its own section further down.
| Term | Our price | Effective monthly | Typical market |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $15 | $15.00 | $12 to $20 |
| 3 months | $29 | $9.67 | $30 to $50 |
| 6 months | $45 | $7.50 | $45 to $75 |
| 12 months | $69 | $5.75 | $55 to $90 |
Every one of those rows carries the identical account: the same 25,000+ channels, the same 120,000+ on-demand titles, the same 4K feeds. Nothing is held back for a higher tier. The only other variable is how many streams may run at the same moment, which is set out on our pricing page.
How much does an IPTV one-year subscription cost?
$69 here for a single stream, and $55 to $90 across the credible market. That is roughly what five separate months cost, which is why most buyers move to an annual plan at their first renewal rather than at their first purchase.
Why is a year so much cheaper per month? Three real reasons, none of them charity. Payment handling is collected once instead of twelve times. Support load concentrates almost entirely in the first week of any account, so the eleven quiet months cost almost nothing to serve. And churn has a planning cost that a committed year removes.
We will still tell you to buy a single month first if you have not tested the service properly, and we say that knowing the annual plan pays us more today. A year is only a saving if the service turns out to suit your connection.
What does the hardware cost?
For most households, nothing. This is the figure that gets left out of every comparison and it is frequently larger than the subscription.
If a smart television made since about 2016 is in the house, or a Fire TV Stick, an Android box, an Apple TV, a phone or a laptop, you already own everything required. IPTV needs a screen that runs apps. It does not need IPTV-specific hardware, and there is no such thing as a device that only works with one provider.
If you genuinely do need to buy something, this is the market as it stands:
| Purchase | Price | When it is the right call |
|---|---|---|
| Ethernet adapter | $10 to $15 | Anything stutters. Buy this before any box, every time |
| Onn 4K Pro | About $50 | Full Google TV, Play Store, 3GB RAM. The value pick |
| Fire TV Stick 4K Max | About $59 | You are already in the Amazon ecosystem |
| Formuler Z11 / MAG | $120 to $180 | A main television used daily, and you want a proper remote |
| Nvidia Shield TV Pro | About $199 | The fastest guide available, and you will notice the difference |
Our guide to IPTV boxes works through which of these is worth it per room, and makes the case for buying none of them.
The cost nobody puts in the table
A $12 Ethernet adapter fixes more IPTV problems per dollar than any other purchase in this entire market, and virtually no comparison article mentions it.
Most stuttering is a network problem rather than a processing one, and the FCC household broadband guide is the quickest way to sanity-check whether your line can carry the number of streams you are buying. A device sitting three rooms from the router on congested 2.4 GHz wireless will stutter on a stream that a $30 stick handles perfectly over a cable. People routinely spend $180 on a faster box to solve a problem that a cable would have solved for $12, and then conclude the service is at fault.
If you buy one thing before your first month, buy the adapter.
Find out what it costs you, specifically
Test the whole account on your own line for 24 hours before spending anything. No card, nothing to cancel.
What does a $25 year actually buy?
An account that works in week one and an oversold server thereafter. It is worth understanding the arithmetic, because it explains a market that otherwise looks irrational.
Serving a stream costs money continuously: bandwidth, transcoding capacity, channel sources, guide data, and somebody awake when a feed dies at three in the morning. A seller charging $25 for twelve months is collecting about $2 a month. That does not cover the bandwidth, let alone the support.
There are only two ways that arithmetic resolves. Either the seller oversubscribes the servers until the picture degrades at exactly the hours you care about, or they are a reseller buying credits at a price that is itself below cost, in which case their upstream supplier eventually stops supplying them. When that happens, every account they sold stops working on the same day, and the money is gone.
Cheap is a perfectly reasonable goal. Below cost is a different thing entirely, and the distinction is worth about $50 a year to get right.
Is a multi-stream plan cheaper than two subscriptions?
Yes, substantially, and this is the one upsell in IPTV that genuinely saves money rather than generating it.
Two separate single-stream subscriptions cost two full prices and give you two separate logins to manage, two renewal dates and two support conversations. One two-stream plan costs meaningfully less than double, uses one set of credentials on every device, and renews once. If more than one person watches at the same time, buy streams rather than subscriptions.
Note the distinction, because it catches people out: you may install the player on every screen you own on any plan. What you are buying is how many can be playing simultaneously. Two televisions used at different times of day need exactly one stream.
What does renewal cost?
The same as the original purchase, because nothing here renews automatically and there is no introductory rate that quietly expires.
That is deliberate rather than an oversight. No card is retained, so we cannot bill you by surprise, and continuing requires you to send a message. It costs us renewals from people who simply forget. We think a subscription that cannot charge you without being asked is worth more than the ones it loses.
Be wary of sellers whose first month is $5 and whose second is $25. The introductory-rate model exists to make a comparison table look better than the service is.
A first year, worked three ways
Same service, three realistic buyers, everything included.
| Cost | Owns a smart TV | Needs one stick | Two rooms at once |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription | $69 (12m, 1 stream) | $69 (12m, 1 stream) | $119 (12m, 2 streams) |
| Hardware | $0 | $50 (Onn 4K Pro) | $50 (one stick) |
| Ethernet adapter | $12 | $12 | $24 (two) |
| Trial | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| First year total | $81 | $131 | $193 |
| Equivalent cable year | $960 to $1,800 | $960 to $1,800 | $1,200 to $2,100 |
Year two is lower in every column, because the hardware and the adapter do not recur.
Paying sensibly
Four rules, in the order they save you money.
Take the trial first. It costs nothing and it answers the only question that matters, which is how the service behaves on your connection at your peak hour rather than on someone else’s.
Buy one month before buying twelve. The annual discount is real and it will still be there in four weeks.
Count streams before you buy, not after. Adding a stream mid-term is easy but you will have paid twice for the overlap.
Buy the cable before the box. Twelve dollars, and it resolves the majority of problems people spend $180 trying to fix.
Every figure we charge is published on the pricing page with nothing added at checkout, and every plan is refundable for seven days under the conditions set out in the refund policy. If you would rather test than read, the free trial takes about fifteen minutes to arrive.
Frequently asked questions
How much is IPTV monthly?
Between $12 and $20 a month from a seller with real support behind it. Ours is $15 for a single month and $69 for twelve, about $5.75 monthly. Below roughly $10 you are usually looking at a reseller pricing under cost, which rarely lasts a full year.
What is the cheapest IPTV subscription?
Our cheapest is the twelve-month single-stream plan at $69. Genuinely cheaper offers exist and are usually the ones that disappear, because an account sold below cost has no support budget behind it. Cheap is a fair goal; below cost is a different thing altogether.
How much does an IPTV box cost?
Nothing, for most buyers, because whatever is already plugged into the television will run it. If you do need hardware, an Onn 4K Pro is about $50 and a Fire TV Stick 4K Max about $59. Buy a $12 Ethernet adapter before either of them.
Are there hidden fees or auto-renewals?
There should not be, and there are none here. No activation fee, no equipment rental, no 4K surcharge and no card kept on file. Nothing renews on its own, which means continuing requires you to send a message rather than remembering to cancel one.
How much does an IPTV one-year subscription cost?
$69 here for a single stream, and $55 to $90 across the credible market. That is roughly what five separate months cost. The discount is real, but testing the service on a single month first still makes more sense than committing for a year immediately.
